Fake News Station
I think Fox News is one of the most dangerous organizations that exists in the US today. They aim their news at the least educated and most vulnerable segment of our population and turn it into a conflict of the the common folk battling the elite left, when most of their commentators are financially wealthy. The truth is that if the policies they are advocating are followed more of us will be poor and only the wealthy will be left in this country. These types of policies will one day lead to the same type of shift in government that has taken place in countries like Venezuela. When the common people finally get enough they will revolt. So in the end, Fox will be their own worst enemy and get exactly what they say they are against. I am not opposed to those that work hard being successful and well off. I am definitely not part of the left wing. I am just an average American who has worked hard my whole life. As a country we have lost our compassion.

Bush is a pile of dung !
History is likely to judge Bush most harshly for two things in particular: Launching a war against a country that had not attacked us, and approving the use of cruel and inhumane interrogation. Both of these are classified as war crimes by the World Court. George will get away from these charges because there are Americans who choose to ignore the truth. We all know the facts about waterboarding because we hung Japanese soildiers of this practice during WWII. Heck this act is even portrayed by Hollywood in their WWII movies about the evils of the enemy.
Bush has given up the moral high ground to our enemies and how. Tens of thousands are dead or maimed because of his stupid orders. Who is the World going to blame for all of the children that are dead. Bush!
Yet he goes on TV trying to sell a book that makes him look like a great man who had to make hard decissions . Any one who buys this piece of trash is stupid .
I never mentioned that he wrecked the economy and has put the U.S. on the track to economic collapse, but I will leave that for another time.

Sara is a shit ! Wright is a good American !
A proud Black man stands up to injustices in America and he is called a raciest by Sara Palin. This man has four Colledge degrees, seven years in the military serving his country,a loving family with children who have been educated, andTons of awards for his work as a minister. Sara can disagree with a sermon he gave but she should not ,as a Christian woman, dare to judge him. Shame on her. She could learn a few things from him. He is well read and educated and a devoted parent. She would be lucky to be half the American he is. Sometimes I get mad at my country for some of our violent history. Does that make me unamerican? Also I have not been proud of my country for a long time!

Carter and Obama are a lot alike and not the way you think!
This is the Jimmy Carter scenario all over again. The Right ,with the help of the Media, took a good President with good ideas and besmirched his character and job performance.
Carter was smart (Navy officer, nuclear engineer) religious, and a dedicated family man. He saw real problems and did some things that actually worked, like reducing our dependence on foreign oil BY HALF. This ignored the big money guys. He also, regardless of what people say, stood hard against Khoemini regime during the hostage crisis. It's a fact that one of the first things he did was call that guy and told him that if one hostage was harmed fatally, that the US would make a slag heap out of Iran. He went low key with the US press, and stayed in the White House rather than campaign or make a lot of public appearances. To this day, he is called weak by the right. I think it took enormous persoanl and ethical strength to do that.
Now Obama. Smart, religious, a family man, has no personal skeletons, has initiated a lot of important and long-overdue legislation, and has been handed a huge crisis not of his making. He has not "blown his own horn," but has preferred to focus on getting things done.
There is a strong parallel between these two men and how they handle things, and how it is used by the right to attack them. Please read my post on the 100 things he has done in the short time he has been in office. The real problem seems to be that both Carter and Obama would not play ball with the Washington insiders. Remember that if we would have listened to Carter a lot of our present problems,as a country, would not have occured. Give this President a chance before you attack him,OK!

Sara for President ?
Many people think that Sara is the leading Republican candidate for the Presidency in the upcoming election in 2012. I,on the other hand think that she has one serious problem that will be hard for her to overcome, her voice! When it comes to Palin specifically, there is the fundamental problem that some of us,including me, don’t want to see or hear any more of her than we have to. And there are those whose objections have a physiological basis as well as an ideological one: the pitch and timbre of her voice, the rhythms of her speech, her syntax, and the way she coats acid and incoherence with cheery musical inflections join together in a sickening way that puts off the listener, triggering a fight-or-flight reaction. When Palin talks, my whole being wails, like Nancy Kerrigan after Tonya Harding’s ex-husband kneecapped her: “Why? Why? Why?”
Could Americans really take two years of this ear splitting whiney distraction called a voice ? I say not. With each speech at each appearance she would drop farther and farther in the polls. How can Tod live with this kind of noise? I bet he keeps the TV turned up loud or spends a lot of nights out, drunk,or both. WaWaWa!

Please Listen before they stiff you good.
What a lie that Social Security is in trouble. This program has had and will have a surplus from 2003 to 2016. During this time Congress has borrowed or spent 2.5 trillion of this surplus to pay for two wars and give citizens big tax brakes. The Government was to pay back that money so the system can stay solvent for another 40-45 yrs. In order to do this Congress must let the tax cuts expire and cut Defense spending. The dirty little truth is they would rather then lie to people and tell them that cuts must be made in SS. then do what is right. It's easier to fool the American public with scary stories about the debt then just pay the money they took back. They would rather stiff you the public then tax the wealthy od cut Defense projects we really don't need. Wake up America, you are being sold a bill of goods. The truth is that in another 30-40 years the Baby Boomers will have moved through the system and we won't need as much money to pay for benifits. THEY JUST DONOT WANT TO PAY OFF THEIR DEBT TO THE S.S.TRUST FUND. That's all this whole mess is about.

Once again, this is a lot to accomplish in such a short amount of time. He was elected President, he wasn’t elected Jesus.
The Social Security Lie . It is not in trouble!
| Time Period | Financial Status |
| 1984- 2016 | The Social Security program brings in more money than it spends. The surplus money is loaned to the federal government. |
| 2017-2041 | The Social Security program spends more money than it brings in. The federal government pays back the money that the Social Security program has loaned to it with interest. The trust fund ends this period with a balance of zero. |
| 2041-2082 | The Social Security program runs annual deficits that accumulate to $36 trillion, which could be covered by (a) adding $4.3 trillion to the trust fund today, or (b) increasing payroll taxes 28% starting in 2041, rising to a 34% increase by 2082, or (c) reducing benefits by 21% starting in 2041, falling to a 24% reduction by 2082. |
| 2083 and beyond | The Social Security Program runs annual deficits that could be covered by adding $9.3 trillion to the trust fund today.[114] |
As you can see the Gov. is supposed to pay back the money they took from the SS Trust Fund to keep the system paying benifits at 100% This also includes interest. This will keep the system solvent until 2041. Our leaders do not want to do this because the only place to get these needed finds is from Defense! This is the real reason that they are trying to mess with SS. They do not want to make good on their obligation to pay back your money that was taken from your pay. They will never tell you the truth. So sad that Americans are so dumb. They will try to scare the Tea Party minions with lies and faulsehoods. Sorry to say but they will get away with it because it takes work to get at the truth. You are welcome!

Simple ways to solve the debt problem.
Esquire had a very interesting article this month where they invited four former Senators ( Bradley, Hart, Packwood and Danforth) along with Lawrence O'Donnell to spend three days and attempt to balance the federal budget by 2020.
They were able to succeed and at the same time save social security. They saved it by making relatively modest changes--increasing the eligibility age to 70 over the next 50 years. Computing the benefit from the previous earning average of 38 years instead of 35. Re-calculate the COLA figure based upon more accurate inflation calculations. They proposed making income up to $125,000 be taxed for SS instead of just $101,000 but that was shot down by the Republicans on the committee.
The main point is that saving social security doesn't need to be done in by making it private. Relatively modest changes, implemented over decades, can extend the life of the program decades. The Esquire group ensured its solvency through 2085, which is realistically probably as good as you're going to get given the uncertainty of projecting that far into the future.
Other highlights -
-Cutting the defense budget by $167 billion
-Closing tax loop holes on both individuals and corporations
-Increase gasoline tax by $1.00
They did not do anything substantial on the revenue side and extended the bush tax cuts indefinitely. So some of the cuts could be offset by say, allowing the tax cuts to expire on the top 2% or even creating a new millionaire's tax bracket at 41% for those making say above $1 million, or even $5 million to make it especially difficult for the GOP to attack.
But the larger point is that their changes were relatively minor and they were able to balance the budget without the types of budget cuts the GOP are proposing. The problem today is purely politics. Politicians love talking about the big problems but they rarely do anything to actually solve the problems because it will always be unpopular. Whatever they chose they stand to alienate some group which will probably translates into electoral losses.

I just wish that the American public can become educated on this issue instead of listening to Tea Party Politicians.

This is some crazy shit !
Insanity Defined...
- Including stock options and other benefits, CEO pay is more than $500 to $1.
- From 1980 to 2006 the richest 1% of America tripled their after-tax percentage of our nation's total income.
- The bottom 90% have seen their share drop over 20%.
- Between 2002 and 2006, it was even worse: three-quarters of all the economy's growth was captured by the top 1%.
- The economic top one percent of the population now owns over 70% of all financial assets, an all time record.
- Workers lost an average of 25 percent off their 401k. The wealth of the 400 richest Americans increased by $30 billion, bringing their total combined wealth to $1.57 trillion.
- The 400 richest Americans have more wealth than 155 million people combined.
- 2009 was a record-breaking year for Wall Street bonuses, as firms issued $150 billion to their executives. 100% of these bonuses are a direct result of our tax dollars.
- If we used this bonus money to create jobs, we could have paid an annual salary of $30,000 to 5 million people.
- US workers are now working more hours and have become dramatically more productive, but their pay is actually declining.
- Increases in wealth are going straight into the pockets of the super-rich. Yet they complain their taxes are too high I give up!!!

Money Money Money !
The United States has a REVENUE problem We (USA) have a REVENUE problem because we are in TWO WARS!!!!
Even if we CUT 100% of "Discretionary Spending" we would STILL have a REVENUE shortage because we are in TWO WARS!
"Common sense" tells us that if we end the TWO WARS we end the REVENUE problem. Some Repullican leaders want to start a thrid war with Iran . This will not cause our spending to go down. Cutting Social Security will not help because this program pays for itself and has a surplus for many years to come. The only way to put a dent in our deficite spending is to cut Defense spending. That's the only thing that makes any real sense They (Teabagging Republicans) do NOT know the meaning of common sense! That's why I write this blog my friends.

Republican plans for the future are to look to the past.
“I think this plan is just what Americans need so they can finally understand what the Republicans stand for. Sorry but it's the only way. You can't use reason or common sense. Let middle class America live in the Republicans idea of a great America and let them see what it's like. It may be time to return to the America of the teens and 20's and even the 30's . The Rich knew their place in that America. Heck,in these days the middle class actually vacations and eats in some of the same places as them. We even play Golf. That's not the America Conservatives want.”
They want an America where workers know their place and produce until they are used up.
They want an America where only they can vacation in nice hotels.
They want an America where only their children have access to good schools.
They want the America of the past where women, gays, immigrants, workers, and progressives know their place.
Don't believe me just read your history of the United States and see how life was in the good old days!

What a Mess we are in !!
“The American voter is very fickle. Two years ago they also sent a loud message to Washington and look what happened. Do the Republican leaders really believe that they have an answer that will satisfy the American public! lol. In 2008 we voted for change and the Republicans blocked change every chance that they had. Now that they are in charge of the House do they really think that they can change Washington? Their own party will block anything they try to do. Sorry to say that extending tax cuts will not produce jobs. What a mess everything is in. We need term limits and all of this money out of our political system or we are truly doomed. My opinion!”
" The first order of business in the new house is to extend the Bush tax cuts. Why? These tax cuts are in effect now and have not helped at all. Is this the kind of change Americans want? The next order of business is to try to reform Social Security. This is a red herring because it is not paid for out of Federal taxes and will not in trouble for years. It has a big surplus. All these new Congressmen really want to do is to serve their masters, the wealthy. The only reason they won is because old people voted for them because they are stingy and worried about Medicare cuts and the young people stayed home. Mark my words folks! Things are only going to get worse for middle America . In my lifetime times have always been better when the Democrats were in charge of the Senate and the house. If you think the Conservatives care about you just try to join their private gulf or country club ! lol. American voters are just fools and not very demanding of their Government. The French people have their Gov. on the run but in this country our Gov. has the people on the run.
