The New speaker of the house and draft dodger.
“Perhaps the greatest debate undertaken by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention in 1787 centered on how many representatives each state should have in the new government's lawmaking branch, the U.S. Congress. As is often the case in government and politics, resolving a great debate, required a Great Compromise. You would not even have a job without this compromise John. If he does not even know the history of this great country, how can he be a leader in the House. Oh and don't even get me started on the fact that he only served eight days in the Navy and left because of a bad back to play golf the rest of his life, while I had a free pass becausen of the polio I had but served four years and eventually had to give up golf because of a bad back.

THE FLOODGATES ARE OPEN
Corporations and wealthy Americans have used PACs to poure tens of millions of dollars into the 2010 elections in order to influence Congress to continue tax cuts that help them and in the process start the demise of most social programs that help the middle class and the poor.
As I write this I am filled with sorrow for America...why has this set of obstacles come forward at this time in our history? We are leaderless at a time of most need...why has President Obama not heard the cry of millions? The call of so many writers and thinkers calling him to action fall on deaf ears. After the 2008 election I was so hopeful, so optimistic about where America could be after an Obama administration...and now I am sad and tired of the whole process. Does he understand the magnitude of disappointment?
The calls of some to just buck up and move on are simply not relevant to me any longer...the political process and the office of the President is bought and paid for by the aristocracy...the sell out is complete and I have seen America's better days. Only a miracle can change things now.
The calls of some to just buck up and move on are simply not relevant to me any longer...t
I do not expect a miracle or any reaction from my fellow Americans whom I consider mostly ignorant and dumb.

Ted Strickland is pissed !
I have met the Gov. at a few local fund-raisers when he was a Congressman. He is a decent, soft spoken man,a former Preacher. If he gets upset with the President and the way he responds to the Republicans, then Obama and the party have some serious problems. I know that Obama is trying to stay above all of the name calling and trying to do his job. Sadly the American people do not always respond to commen sense and logic but they do respond to perception. They perceive him as weak and he had better take a few swings or he is finished and so is the middle class dream I fear. The President has foes in the Republican party that are trying to steal money from Social Security and give it to the wealthy in the form as tax cuts. He must make the American people see the difference between himself and the Conservatives. Bill Clinton could have shown this difference very clear to the public. What the hell is wrong with Obama? Must he always turn the other cheek?
