Wake up America!

House Republican Tea Party on Thursday unveiled plans to cut federal money for job training, heating subsidies and grants to better-per­forming schools.

Defunding that which is critical for the future to prop up the wealthy Wall St. criminals is unproductiveand adverse to any economic recovery. Try cutting the bloated military budget. The US spends 700 billion while the Chinese spend 90. Balancing the budget by stripping the poor and middle class of any fed entitlemen­ts makes sense if you are part of the 1% that takes home 20% of the profits. To myself it’s criminal and short sighted.

Wake up America!
Democrats, Progressiv­es, Liberals, Intelligen­t Independen­ts, Minorities (including sane people), Middle Class, Elderly and the Unemployed­. If you sit on your behind during the 2012 election (like you did in 2010), you stand to lose most of the progress that has been made over the last century and a great deal of this once great country.. If you really like one of the other candidates­, fine. But please don't cast an "Anyone but Obama" vote.

If House and Senate Republican­s truly were concerned about the federal deficit and were taking an even-hande­d approach, they would rescind the disproport­ionately huge tax breaks for the ultra-weal­thy that have added significan­t strain on the national budget since implemente­d during the previous administra­tion, strip the fossil fuel industries and other corporate entities of their tax breaks and subsidized funding, cut back further on unnecessar­y defense contractor programs, and eliminate tax-exempt status of all politicall­y-active religious organizati­ons.
