Republicans have always disliked Social Security since it's inception. If you think that Republicans care about the common man and woman, just look at their record for a second. They've NEVER passed any legislation that would benefit the working class man or woman in their entire elitist history. Not once! You can thank the democrats for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as well as housing for poor and other benchmark legislation. The Republicans have always believed and still do that the rich provide the jobs and that solves everything. The government should do NOTHING for anyone. With these deep cuts to the nation's safety network millions will go hungry, lose their jobs, have their homes go unheated in winter, be denied medical care, and be forced to choose between their medicine and food. The Republican party is a national disgrace and should thrown out of office. Wake up people and demand that this budget that's adopted be more fair,more balanced, and contain some degree of humanity and compassion. You'll never get that from Republicans who only care about profits and the rich.
Take the cap off and SS is solvent forever! It's time...way past time...for the uber wealthy to cough up what is for them a couple of bucks and start to pay their share. They are getting some really wonderful benefits from our country, maybe they could help the rest of us a bit!?
