There is a big difference.

In 1995,  Republicans in Congress slipped a bill into the giant budget bill-or the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Avt of 1995-to allow corporations to raid their workers' pension funds by reducing protections the Democrats had put in place in 1990. this Republican provision would allow companies to withdraw 30-40 billion from these plans. Clinton vetoed this version of the bill.

One of the first things Bush did was sign into a law that reduced many workplace safety protections.

Bush allowed a Clinton law that lowered the level of Arsenic in drinking water from 50 ppb to 10 ppb to be overturned.

I could go on and on and on and on but the list is too long. This is a list of the laws and provisions the Replblicans either pass of get rid of that help protect the interests of their business backers. There is a big difference between the two parties. Many of these regulation or law changes never make the news or are talked about. I ask you to check out my post of Nov.  11, 2010 to view some of the changes Obama made in his first years. When we rate the job  that our leaders are doing it is very important to look past the surface or to listen to the sound bites we hear from our so called News Men.
