Grape Juice or Wine ?

I often hear Some Born Again Christians tell their children that Jesus drank grape juice not wine.  Well I beg to differ.If you put juice in a container and leave it alone for a few months what do you get? Fermented, alcoholic wine. That’s what you get after a harvest. Grape juice can't be kept on a shelf for a year So I say get over it and deal with reality. People drank wine 2,000 yrs ago .  Wine often changed to vinegar when opened too long.  Please do not teach your children things that are not true.

While I am at it please please don't take them to the Creationist museum.  The Earth is not 10,000 yrs old. There is geological  and fossil proof that it is much older than that. The people in our country are behind other countries in science and math and teaching our kids crap just makes it worse.

I really don't care if some people don't believe in evolution - as in other fields of science, you don't have to believe in evolution for it to work.
What bothers me is the attempt to pass off intelligent design and creationism as equally valid scienctific theories, when they don't adhere to the basic requirements of science, i.e the ability to disprove a theory.

I just find it hard to believe in religions that use a reward and punishment system. Follow all the rules and you will be rewarded when you pass on. Really !  I am more spirtual and wonder why we are here and is their really a creator. I look to science to show me proof not a 2,000 yr old religion that uses fear to keep followers in line. Does any rational person expect educated people to believe that if you do not believe things that are shown to be false that you will be made to suffer for all time by a merciful God. I think not.I think that some religion gets in the way of science and learning. If left alone science may someday find proof of a diety or creator. If they keep teaching falsehoods people will never advance or learn a darn thing.
